Openings are currently available for the following positions: Water Plant Operator We currently have opportunities for experienced part-time water operator in the Culpeper, VA area. The position requires the skills, abilities and education to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities to operate and maintain a group of wasterworks systems under the direct supervision of the Waterworks Supervisor. Qualifications and Requirements: - Directly responsible for managing operations and maintenance of the water treatment systems, including daily operation checks, sampling and necessary tests, flow measures, chemical dosage, troubleshooting, recordkeeping, preventive and corrective maintenance, and other essential duties
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Ensure effective communication with supervisory personnel
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of a Virginia Class '4' Water certification. High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid Drivers License with good driving record Possess excellent communication skills required including demonstrated fluency with reading, writing and speaking the English language Knowledge of potable water treatment, mechanical and electrical systems

We are currently accepting applications for an Engineering Technician in our Roanoke office. The position will involve both administrative and fieldwork. Areas of responsibility will include the following:
- Technical oversight and evaluation of water and wastewater systems
- Preparation of plans, operations manuals, and specifications for small water and wastewater systems
- Administrative and technical presentations
- Computer tracking and reporting
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Environmental Studies or other closely related field
- Engineering in Training Certificate
- Knowledge of Federal and State water and sewer regulations
- Proficiency in cost estimating
- Prior on-site construction management
